Guides introduce a new approach to in-product messaging by allowing engineering, product, and marketing teams to create, manage, and test native in-app content using their own components, without compromising performance or design compliance. Built on the principles of native performance, composable primitives, self-service configurability, and built-in analytics, Guides integrate directly with React, Vue, or Angular components, ensuring no performance penalties. The system is powered by a reactive, real-time API that assesses user sessions to determine eligible guides, enabling dynamic content personalization based on runtime data. Users can create and manage guides through the Knock dashboard, establishing targeting and activation rules for user eligibility and product placement. Guides also provide engagement tracking for analysis, and their potential to enhance user experience and resource utilization is being tested in beta, with detailed documentation available for those interested in implementation.
