TeamsKit is a newly launched toolkit designed to simplify the integration of Microsoft Teams as a notification channel within products, leveraging the Microsoft Bot Framework and Graph APIs. Developed by Knock, TeamsKit aims to overcome the complexities developers face when building on the Microsoft Teams platform, such as mastering two separate APIs and navigating Microsoft's tenancy model. The toolkit includes pre-built UI components like <MsTeamsAuthButton /> and <MsTeamsChannelCombobox />, which manage authorization, token handling, and channel selection for seamless integration. TeamsKit also offers React hooks, client functions, and API endpoints for custom component development. With TeamsKit, users can design and send Teams notifications using Knock's workflow engine and template editor, which supports markdown and JSON templates for adaptive cards. This initiative, alongside SlackKit, positions Knock as a comprehensive notification infrastructure for product and engineering teams serving enterprise clients.
