Welcome Kestra 0.8.0 â¨
Blog post from Kestra
Kestra 0.8.0 has been released with a focus on enhancing the flow creation experience, introducing new features such as a low-code editor that simplifies editing flow YAML and managing flow structures with drag-and-drop functionality. This version improves task documentation by integrating a contextual panel in the editor, allowing users to access task documentation without switching contexts. Enhancements have been made to the EachSequential and EachParallel tasks, enabling more flexible variable definitions, and task metrics are now more accessible via a new Metrics tab. New core tasks such as Log, Fetch, Fail, and If have been introduced to enhance logging, error handling, and conditional task execution. The update also includes new plugins like the Google Cloud Dataproc serverless plugin and Microsoft Teams notification plugin, alongside improvements for the enterprise edition, such as better performance with Kafka triggers. Additional features include a new timeout property for the Pause task, a unique originalId for flow executions, and the ability to execute flows at different revisions, supported by a flow expand command for CI/CD integration. The Kestra team encourages feedback on the low-code editor and plans to introduce more integrations and a metrics dashboard in the future.
