The fund, starting at $1,700 per project or maintainer, will be periodically assessed and is intended to grow alongside the company. Keploy's funding strategy involves supporting projects available on GitHub Sponsors and avoiding conflicts with projects maintained by its own team members. The financial support ranges from $20 to $150 per month per project, balancing the number of projects supported and the meaningful impact on maintainers. Through this initiative, Keploy seeks to thank, encourage, and empower open-source maintainers while keeping the fund separate from its business needs.
