The MPS 2026.2 Early Access Program Has Started - The JetBrains Blog
Blog post from JetBrains
JetBrains has launched the MPS 2026.2 Early Access Program, introducing improvements to editor testing, result organization, node selection, and startup configuration alongside numerous bug fixes. Editor tests can now use customizable node-matching rules or per-node markers to ignore irrelevant differences, while failure messages identify the affected nodes and editor cells with detailed presentation information. Find Usages results can be grouped by virtual package, mirroring Project view folder structures, and the Select Up command now selects sibling-node lists before moving to parent nodes, making multi-node editing more predictable. The release also aligns MPS launcher configuration more closely with the IntelliJ Platform by separating platform and MPS-specific classpaths, incorporating platform JVM options, and applying operating-system-specific access settings more precisely.
