Kotlin 2.4.20 Released - The JetBrains Blog
Blog post from JetBrains
Kotlin 2.4.20 introduces enhancements across its ecosystem, including coroutine stack-trace recovery and additional collection and testing utilities in the standard library. Kotlin/Native gains expanded Swift export capabilities, faster incremental compilation, and automatic Package.swift generation, while Kotlin/Wasm improves JavaScript interop behavior, initialization ordering, and Wasmtime support through the Gradle plugin. Kotlin/JS adds a browser-testing DSL, async exports for suspend lambdas, and better data-class exportability, alongside Gradle 9.7.0 compatibility and improved Problems API reporting. The release also expands the Build Tools API to Kotlin/JS, Kotlin/Wasm, and metadata targets, and adds the kotlinr runner command and a separate native image for the compiler. Kotlin 2.4.20 is available through updated IntelliJ IDEA and Android Studio installations, build-script version updates, or the command-line compiler release on GitHub.
