GoLand’s Profiler Now Works With AI Agents
Blog post from JetBrains
GoLand 2026.3 introduces AI-assisted Go profiling through a bundled goland-profiler skill and MCP tools compatible with Claude Code, Codex, and Junie. Developers can describe symptoms such as slow endpoints, high CPU use, memory growth, lock contention, blocking, or goroutine leaks, and an agent can launch an application under GoLand’s profiler, select appropriate CPU, heap, allocation, mutex, block, or goroutine profiles, analyze hot functions and call paths, and report findings while distinguishing measured evidence from hypotheses. Users may delegate the full process, capture profiles themselves for the agent to interpret, or prepare an application state before asking the agent to capture profiles. Profiles remain available in GoLand’s profiler session and Recent Profiles window for manual review, including flame graphs. The feature does not attach to already running processes because GoLand modifies executables during compilation, is less useful for very short-lived programs, and requires GoLand 2026.3 with the skill enabled.
