Infracost has introduced significant updates to its tagging policies feature, redesigned report emails, and made performance improvements to enhance its utility for FinOps, DevOps, and Platform teams. These updates include simplified identification and rectification of tagging issues, with capabilities to scan all repositories and sort issues by impact, thus providing fast feedback loops for engineers. A new weekly progress chart now tracks the percentage of resources complying with tagging policies over six months. The redesigned report emails summarize cost changes from pull requests, tagging policy coverage, and costs prevented by using Guardrails. The performance of the Infracost CLI has been boosted through caching improvements, and support for terraform-provider-aws v5 and AWS il-central-1 region has been added. Infracost Cloud is now available for purchase on the AWS Marketplace, and additional features like the INFRACOST_TERRAFORM_SOURCE_MAP environment variable have been introduced. Community contributions have been acknowledged, and the recent HashiCorp license change does not impact Infracost's compliance.
