Infracost has introduced several updates to enhance FinOps management for large enterprises, including a new enterprise data export feature and improved integration with GitHub and GitLab Apps. The enterprise data export allows FinOps teams to gain visibility across various departments by exporting daily CSV files to AWS S3 or Azure Blob Storage, summarizing tagging issues, FinOps policy compliance, and cost savings. The Repo Sync feature automates the addition of Terraform repositories to Infracost, ensuring that costs are estimated, and policies applied as soon as infrastructure-as-code (IaC) is detected. This feature also supports automatic updates for renamed, moved, or archived repositories. Additionally, new FinOps policies aligned with the Azure Well-Architected Framework have been added, advising on cost-efficient options such as downgrading Azure Firewall tiers, upgrading virtual machine series for better price performance, and adopting StorageV2 accounts for reduced storage costs.
