Announcing Telegraf 0.10.0

Telegraf 0.10.0 has been released with several significant changes, including the introduction of fields instead of measurements, renaming plugins to inputs, and improvements to plugin parallelization. The new configuration options for inputs include name_override, name_prefix, name_suffix, and tags. The Linux package is also moving out of /opt to /usr/bin and /etc/telegraf. Users upgrading from Telegraf 0.2.x are advised to generate a new config file and inspect the differences between old and new configurations, as some plugins have substantially different configurations. Additionally, users will need to update their InfluxDB instrumentation and clients to query metrics in the new field-based format.
