Introducing Hume’s Empathic Voice Interface (EVI) API

Hume has introduced Empathic Voice Interface (EVI) API, a single emotionally intelligent voice AI API that can be integrated into any application. EVI processes the tune, rhythm, and timbre of speech to generate more empathic language with the right tone of voice. The eLLM model uses context and emotional expressions to predict the best emotional tone for AI responses. Developers can access EVI through a WebSocket connection or test it on Hume's voice playground. The Configuration API allows developers to customize their EVI, including system prompts, voice options, LLM integrations, and more.
