Clover-35B-A3B-Preview: A New Way for Intelligence
Blog post from Hugging Face
DiffuSpace has released Clover-35B-A3B-Preview, an Apache-licensed, open-source mixture-of-experts diffusion language model with 35 billion total parameters and 3 billion active parameters, positioning it as a faster alternative to similarly sized autoregressive models for reasoning, coding, tool use, and agent workflows. Building on the earlier Dream model family, the company reports that Clover surpasses or matches Qwen models and other diffusion models on benchmarks including SWE-bench Verified, Terminal-Bench, GPQA Diamond, and ZebraLogic, while reaching reported speeds of up to 680 tokens per second on an NVIDIA GB300 GPU and 515 tokens per second on an H200. Its architecture redesigns Gated DeltaNet for block diffusion by combining recurrent historical memory, bidirectional attention within generation blocks, calibration for block size, and local right-context convolution. DiffuSpace highlights applications in browser automation, interactive web-app generation, UAV dispatch, and resource-constrained devices, where an INT4 version reportedly runs on a 16GB RTX 5070 Ti. The announcement also previews a decision model with a Joint Mode for answering related structured questions together, which the company says improves both speed and consistency, while outlining future work in multimodality, long-horizon agent reliability, inference optimization, and edge deployment.
