Hex has introduced updates to its Magic AI assistant for data analysis, making it more powerful, intuitive, and faster. The new features include generating multiple cells at once in notebooks, chaining together SQL, Python, and Chart cells to answer complex questions or kickstart a new analysis. Additionally, the prompt bar has been rebuilt to support multi-line instructions and auto-fixes. Furthermore, users can now "@ mention" datasets to specify what resources should be used for generating code. The company emphasizes that while AI tools are improving, they are not perfect and do not replace human judgement.
