Using Kubernetes to power Asia’s largest MOOC
Blog post from Hasura
Kubernetes was used to power Asia's largest Massive Open Online Course (MOOC) on application development. The course had over 83,000 registrations and aimed at helping students practice web development and deployment using just a browser. By leveraging Kubernetes, the platform allowed users to write code in their browsers and deploy it in real-time. Students' applications were hosted on GitHub and run inside a NodeJS container. The course attracted a diverse set of participants, including college students, working professionals, stay-at-home mothers, and educators, with little or no background in computer science or application development experience.
