Exploring faster reads with Google AlloyDB PostgreSQL and Hasura GraphQL API
Blog post from Hasura
Google has launched AlloyDB, a PostgreSQL compatible SQL database service that claims to offer better performance than AWS Aurora PostgreSQL. In comparison, it is reportedly 2x faster than Aurora, 4x faster than standard Postgres and even 100x faster for analytical workloads. Hasura, an open-source engine that connects applications to databases, can now be connected to AlloyDB. The integration of Hasura with Google's AlloyDB is expected to provide a significant performance boost compared to standard Postgres.
