The AWS Cloud Control provider is a joint project between HashiCorp and AWS designed to bring new services to HashiCorp's Terraform faster by automatically generating resources and data source schema, addressing coverage gaps in the main Terraform AWS provider. The provider supports over 750 AWS resources and data sources, with more support being added as AWS service teams adopt the Cloud Control API standard. It can be used alongside the existing Terraform AWS provider and is expected to be generally available in 2024. The provider integrates with AWS Cloud Control API, making it easier for developers to manage their cloud infrastructure in a consistent manner and leverage the latest AWS capabilities faster. With the introduction of sample configurations, enhanced schema-level documentation, and other user experience enhancements, customers can now easily use resources and reduce errors when provisioning infrastructure.
