Announcing Consul-Terraform-Sync Tech Preview

HashiCorp has introduced Consul-Terraform-Sync, a new tool for automating network infrastructure using Terraform provider ecosystem, to help network and security teams address challenges in manual ticket-driven processes and impedance mismatches with application teams. The tool enables dynamic service-driven network automation with self-service capabilities, providing operational consistency across teams using a shared source of truth for service discovery. Consul-Terraform-Sync leverages Terraform as the underlying automation tool and utilizes the Terraform provider ecosystem to drive relevant changes to the network infrastructure, partnering with leading networking and security industry leaders such as A10 Networks, Checkpoint, Cisco, F5, and Palo Alto Networks. The tool introduces a key construct called Task, which enables users to subscribe to desired services in Consul catalog and trigger automation runbooks when those subscribed services are updated.
