DevOps is increasingly focusing on zero-touch and zero-trust deployments to enhance speed, scalability, security, software, and skill, collectively known as the Five Ss, aiming for on-demand deployments with minimal mean time to recovery (MTTR) and a low failure rate. Organizations are standardizing DevOps tools to boost collaboration and efficiency while integrating security throughout CI/CD pipelines and employing AI/ML for full automation of the software development lifecycle. Chandramohan Moorthyraj, who leads the DevOps Center of Excellence for Tata Consultancy Services, highlights the importance of enterprise-wide adoption and enablement from top-level executives to address the challenges of tool proliferation, ensuring accelerated quality delivery with testing and security as critical components. The focus remains on achieving quick release processes through Continuous Integration and Delivery (CI/CD), scalability with enterprise-wide DevOps platforms, and maintaining security with proactive measures, while the right skills and software enable efficient DevOps tool usage and cloud cost management.
