Harness Artifact Registry is a new addition to the AI-native Software Delivery Platform, aimed at improving how DevOps and Platform engineering teams handle artifacts. This universal hub centralizes artifact management, reducing complexity by consolidating multiple registries into a single secure location. It enhances build reliability and developer productivity through faster, stable builds and seamless integration with Harness CI and CD modules. Security is a priority, with features such as fine-grained role-based access control, security scanner integrations, and comprehensive audit trails, ensuring adherence to industry standards. The registry offers end-to-end traceability of artifacts, crucial for maintaining software quality and regulatory compliance. Looking ahead, Harness plans to integrate AI capabilities, including AI-assisted search, into the registry. Available commercially and as part of Harness Open Source, it aims to simplify artifact management, boost DevOps efficiency, and strengthen software supply chain security.
