Why we built Gumloop

Gumloop emerged from a series of micro-pivots and iterative improvements aimed at solving the challenges faced by a small group of users within a Discord server. Initially inspired by AutoGPT, an open-source autonomous agent framework, Gumloop sought to address the difficulties users encountered in setting up and sharing agents by hosting the latest releases in the cloud and creating a simple user interface. Although the platform initially struggled with issues such as unreliability and cost associated with autonomous agents, it evolved by allowing users to define step-by-step workflows, thereby enhancing reliability and cost-effectiveness. This shift has made Gumloop more versatile and complex, continuing its mission to make AI automation accessible without requiring coding expertise. The platform has expanded with new features and partnerships, aiming to automate workflows efficiently and affordably for business purposes.
