Gumloop introduces a feature allowing its agents to operate via email, enabling users to interact with them as if they were teammates by assigning each agent an email alias. This facilitates tasks such as handling RFPs, triaging cold emails, evaluating vendor proposals, and screening resumes by forwarding relevant emails to designated agent addresses, which then process and respond to these requests. The setup involves enabling the Email Inbox in the agent's settings and selecting an alias, ensuring that only authorized users can interact with the agents to maintain security. The agents can read attachments, maintain email thread continuity, and effectively collaborate with human participants, thus automating various workflows without requiring coding.
