Guardrails AI Joins Harvey

Harvey has acquired San Francisco-based Guardrails AI, an AI security and reliability platform for agents, marking its fourth acquisition of 2026. Guardrails’ co-founders Shreya Rajpal and Zayd Simjee, along with their team, will join Harvey’s product and engineering organization to strengthen reliability controls for Harvey’s legal AI agents, which perform multi-step work across documents, matters, and firm knowledge. Guardrails is known for its open-source guardrails framework, downloaded more than 250,000 times monthly, and Snowglobe, a simulation environment that uses synthetic users to identify agent failure modes before deployment. Harvey plans to incorporate the team’s expertise in testing, simulating, evaluating, and controlling AI behavior into its Applied AI initiatives, aiming to build systems suitable for high-stakes professional legal work.
