GrowthBook's latest update introduces several highly anticipated features, including a new REST API, a Java SDK, and advanced permissions, enhancing its integration capabilities and user management. The REST API allows for programmatic listing and toggling of feature flags, facilitating integration with CI/CD pipelines, while the Java SDK provides official support for Java applications. Advanced permissions have been added to the Pro and Enterprise plans, enabling environment-specific restrictions and project-specific roles, which can streamline workflows such as requiring admin approval before deploying changes to production. The update also includes a new documentation site with enhanced navigation and search capabilities, encrypted feature flags for secure client-side applications, and a VS Code extension that displays feature flags directly in the UI. Additional improvements include debugging tools, improved sorting and searching, and auto-authentication support for AWS Athena, along with various other enhancements and bug fixes detailed in their release notes.
