Greptile has secured a $25 million Series A funding round led by Benchmark Capital, with support from Cory Levy, YC, and Initialized Capital, to further develop its AI-driven code validation platform that helps identify bugs and enforce coding standards across software organizations. The company introduced Greptile v3, a revamped version of its core agent architecture that identifies three times more critical bugs than its predecessor, and outperforms other code reviewers. Greptile v3 can learn team-specific best practices by analyzing comments on GitHub and GitLab, and it has already reviewed over 500 million lines of code for major companies, preventing more than 180,000 bugs. New features include the Greptile MCP server, which enhances integration with coding agents and IDEs, support for business applications like Jira and Notion, and the ability to auto-detect team-specific documentation files, providing a more personalized code review experience. Additionally, Greptile offers a feature that allows users to easily access and apply coding prompts generated during PR reviews, encouraging efficient code fixes and adherence to best practices.
