Lin noted that although chaos testing originated from chaos engineering practices like Netflix's Chaos Monkey, the responsibility often falls on those who experience the immediate impact of system failures, such as SREs and Ops teams. She emphasized the importance of organizational buy-in for initiating chaos programs and recognized the evolving landscape where testers and other roles are becoming more involved in chaos testing, aiming to create resilient systems by anticipating and mitigating potential vulnerabilities.
