Graphite has introduced three new features to enhance the code review process, aiming to make it faster, more ergonomic, and scalable, as part of its Q1 launch week in 2024. The first feature, Automations, simplifies the process of managing pull requests by using if-this-then-that style rules to automate tasks like adding reviewers and labels, commenting, and sending notifications, thereby reducing manual effort. The second feature is a menu bar app for MacOS, which consolidates GitHub notifications into a single, customizable inbox to help developers manage their pull request notifications without being overwhelmed. The third feature involves AI-powered code suggestions that transform PR comments into actionable code suggestions, facilitating quicker and more effective feedback during reviews. These features are designed to streamline workflow and allow developers to focus on building products, with Automations currently in beta and the other two features generally available.
