Page Speed Online has a shiny new API
Blog post from Google Cloud
Page Speed Online has launched a new API as part of Google I/O, allowing developers to integrate performance analysis into their tools and dashboards, offering suggestions for optimization in mobile or desktop formats and in 40 different languages. This API facilitates easy integration into command-line tools and web performance dashboards, and it has already been incorporated into the WordPress plugin W3 Total Cache to provide performance improvement suggestions directly within the WordPress dashboard. Developed by the Page Speed Team, the API aims to enhance web performance by allowing developers to monitor improvements and receive feedback in their preferred language, while ensuring that the insights provided are actionable and tailored to specific performance pitfalls.
