Katerina Skroumpelou, based in Athens, Greece, is a Senior Software Engineer at Narwhal Technologies and a Google Developer Expert (GDE) in Maps and Angular. Her journey into programming and maps began with a love for old maps, which she inherited from her father, and evolved through her studies in architectural engineering and spatial analysis. Skroumpelou's career includes significant work with Google Maps, developing systems for fleet management and airport security at the National Centre for Scientific Research “Demokritos.” Her involvement in the Google developer community started with a talk at the Angular Connect London conference, which led to her active participation in various events and her recognition as a GDE in 2018. Skroumpelou appreciates Google Maps Platform's features, like Cloud-based Maps styling and the drawing library, for their interactive capabilities and ease of use. She plans to continue her work with Narwhal Technologies and remains enthusiastic about using Google Maps Platform in her projects, enjoying the community's shared passion and the tools' innovative features.
