Google Summer of Code now open for student applications
Blog post from Google Cloud
Google Summer of Code, an initiative by the Google Open Source team, invites university students to apply for the opportunity to work on open source software projects during the summer, offering real-world experience and a stipend. Accepted students will be paired with mentors to guide them through technical challenges while they contribute to one of 137 open source projects. This experience not only enhances their skills and future employment opportunities but also contributes valuable source code to the community. Students must submit their proposals by March 27, 2015, and are encouraged to consult the Student Manual for crafting strong applications. For more information and updates, students can refer to the Google Open Source Blog, mailing lists, or join the #gsoc channel on Freenode's Internet relay chat.
