Google Prediction API helps all apps to adapt and learn
Blog post from Google Cloud
Google has announced the general availability of its Prediction API, which allows applications to become smarter and adapt to changes with minimal code. Unveiled at Google I/O, the API offers features such as data streaming, predictive model tuning, and a gallery of user-developed pre-built models. These capabilities enable apps to recommend, automate, and extract essential information, with applications ranging from customer recommendations to optimizing hybrid vehicle efficiency. The API’s cloud-hosted RESTful service allows access to advanced machine learning algorithms, exemplified by Ford Motor Co.'s use to improve fuel efficiency. A new JavaScript library has been introduced alongside existing Python and Java libraries, and a forthcoming gallery will allow users to subscribe to and sell predictive models. The API promises a 99.9% SLA for paid users and invites developers to enhance their apps through shared predictive tools.
