Google OAuth incremental authorization improvement
Blog post from Google Cloud
Google has announced an enhancement to the OAuth consent experience, aiming to streamline how users share data with apps while improving consent conversion for apps using incremental authorization, which requests only one scope. This update allows users to share data requests with a single tap, building upon past improvements, such as the 2019 overhaul that gave users granular data-sharing control and the July 2021 consolidation of multiple-permission requests into a single screen. The Identity team will continue to enhance the user experience, although developers are not required to change their apps; they are recommended to use incremental authorization and request resources as needed to make data requests more relevant to users.
