Get ready to wave at Google I/O
Blog post from Google Cloud
In anticipation of Google I/O on May 6, 2010, Google announced plans to incorporate Google Wave into the event, leveraging its capabilities to enhance attendee interaction and session engagement. Google Wave, which had been previously used in various conferences to facilitate discussions and note-taking, would be integrated into sessions through interactive waves created using Google Wave APIs. Attendees could participate in real-time by viewing live notes, asking questions via a Google Moderator gadget, and engaging in discussions. To get started, newcomers were encouraged to consult the Getting Started Guide and video tutorials, while those without accounts were invited to request Google Wave invitations.
