Born in Detroit, Accelerated with Google
Blog post from Google Cloud
StockX, a Detroit-based company specializing in the resale marketplace for sneakers, apparel, and more, has partnered with Google’s Late-Stage Accelerator to enhance its authentication process using machine learning and AI. The partnership aims to improve the speed and accuracy of verifying the authenticity of products, which is currently done by human authenticators at StockX’s six global authentication centers. By leveraging large datasets collected from past transactions, Google Cloud AI experts are aiding StockX in developing advanced models to detect fake items and manufacturing defects. The collaboration involves regular meetings between the teams to share data and insights, allowing for rapid iteration and development of the AI models. This initiative is part of StockX's broader strategy to utilize cutting-edge technology in ensuring secure and reliable transactions in its marketplace.
