Announcing the inaugural Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders program, Europe & Israel - applications now open.
Blog post from Google Cloud
Artificial intelligence is revolutionizing industries, but the startup ecosystem reveals a significant gender disparity, with women-founded AI startups receiving only 2.1% of venture capital deals and all-women founding teams securing just 3% of total investments in 2023. In response, Google has launched the Google for Startups Accelerator: Women Founders program for AI startups in Europe and Israel, offering mentorship, technical support, and workshops to empower women entrepreneurs and foster innovation. This program aims to create a more inclusive tech community by supporting women-led startups. Simultaneously, in North America, applications are open for the fifth iterations of Google’s Women Founders and Black Founders accelerator programs, providing 10-week equity-free support for Seed to Series A startups led by women and Black entrepreneurs. These initiatives are part of Google’s broader efforts to champion diversity and address the funding gap faced by underrepresented founders in the tech industry.
