Gladia to join OVH Groupe, accelerating Europe's sovereign voice AI ambitions

Gladia, a Paris-based voice AI company founded in 2022, announced that OVH Groupe has agreed to acquire it, subject to regulatory approvals and customary closing conditions, with financial terms undisclosed. Gladia will remain an independent branded product line with its existing API, team, customer relationships, contracts, pricing, and service commitments unchanged. The acquisition adds Gladia’s speech-to-text and audio-intelligence platform, which supports more than 100 languages and serves over 300,000 developers and 2,000 enterprises, to OVHcloud’s sovereign AI strategy following its earlier acquisition of OVHai LLM. By combining Gladia’s voice technology with OVH Groupe’s global cloud infrastructure, the companies aim to provide lower-latency transcription, increased resilience, stronger European data residency, and future native voice AI services for OVHcloud’s 1.7 million customers.
