CI/CD for Jira – The Jira DevOps Tool for Git
Blog post from GitKraken
GitKraken has launched CI/CD for Jira, a free extension for Git Integration for Jira that brings build and deployment data from CI/CD pipelines directly into Jira Cloud. The extension automatically works with repositories already connected through Git Integration for Jira, enabling teams to view build and deployment statuses alongside commits, branches, pull requests, changed files, and developer activity within Jira issues. It aims to improve DevOps visibility across engineering, operations, product, and support teams, reducing context switching, communication gaps, and potential delivery errors. Users can create Automation for Jira rules triggered by build or deployment events, use JQL queries to filter issues by deployment information, and access Jira’s deployment timeline view. CI/CD for Jira supports GitLab Cloud and Self-Hosted, GitHub Cloud and Self-Hosted, and Bitbucket Cloud, with Azure Cloud support planned, and is available at no cost to Git Integration for Jira account holders.
