Recent updates to commit pages have enhanced the process of reviewing diffs by introducing several features such as diffstat style histograms and improved rename detection. Diffstats now provide a visual summary of insertions and deletions in each file, similar to the output of `git diff --stat`, offering a quick overview of a commit's impact. The newly enabled rename detection consolidates renamed files into single-line entries, reducing the noise in diffs by displaying only modified lines, rather than duplicating entire file contents. Previous limitations on displaying added or removed files have been addressed, allowing users to view and comment on specific lines in these files, which were previously omitted to avoid browser crashes from large diffs. A new set of rules has been implemented to manage large diffs, capping the number of displayed lines and files to ensure that significant changes are shown without overwhelming users. These updates aim to provide a clearer and more efficient review process by balancing the visibility of important changes with constraints to maintain performance.
