How to continue a GitHub Copilot app session in VS Code
Blog post from GitHub
GitHub Copilot app sessions can be opened directly in Visual Studio Code, preserving the original task, plan, conversation, code changes, isolated worktree, and associated branch rather than requiring developers to restart or recreate context. Developers can review agent-generated diffs in VS Code, ask Copilot follow-up questions or request revisions through the sidebar, make manual edits, and run the repository’s normal tests and development tools locally. After validating the implementation and checking for correctness, conventions, edge cases, and unintended changes, they can commit and push from the same worktree, automatically updating the pull request associated with the original session.
