GitHub Copilot app for Beginners: Using the diff, terminal, and browser
Blog post from GitHub
The GitHub Copilot app centralizes the review, testing, and validation of agent-generated code through integrated diff, terminal, and browser panels. The diff panel displays additions, removals, and modifications so developers can accept changes, comment on them, or request revisions, while the terminal panel allows projects and scripts such as development servers to be run directly within the app. For user-interface work, the browser panel enables feature testing and includes the Pick & Polish tool for selecting page elements and iterating on them with the agent. After reviewing code, running it, and verifying its behavior, users can accept changes and create pull requests without switching among an editor, terminal, and browser, helping them retain control and confirm that generated work functions as intended.
