GitHub and UNDP team up to advance development priorities in Ghana with open source

The Open Source Programme Office model, increasingly adopted across various sectors, offers structured governance for open source adoption, addressing policy, compliance, and community engagement. The UNDP-led Open Source Programme Office Readiness Assessment (OSPORA) helps governments evaluate their readiness for open source governance. In Ghana, political commitment to digitalization and a robust tech community are driving the open source movement, yet challenges remain, such as the lack of centralized policy and coordination issues.
