Inspired by the Chicago Service Relief and supported by Spencer Tweedy, the initiative has quickly expanded, with contributions from the Gatsby team and the open-source community leading to the creation of sites across various U.S. cities. The project encourages widespread participation, offering detailed setup instructions and fostering community involvement through GitHub contributions and social media promotion.
