What's new in Crashlytics for Flutter

Firebase Crashlytics has updated its Flutter plugin to improve crash reporting, issue analysis, and setup for developers building cross-platform apps. New APIs let developers report Flutter exceptions as fatal events, distinguishing them from non-fatal issues and enabling on-demand reporting without waiting for an app restart, which improves real-time visibility, crash-free user metrics, and Velocity Alerts for rapidly emerging problems. Crashlytics has also added Flutter-specific grouping heuristics to better separate framework and application-code failures, identify likely root causes, and highlight the most relevant code frames for investigation. Onboarding has been simplified by automating previously manual Android and iOS symbol and mapping-file configuration steps, while updated documentation is now available through Firebase’s main documentation site.
