Get started with Firebase using Free Trial credits

Firebase users eligible for Google Cloud’s Free Trial can claim $300 in credits for 90 days to explore Firebase services without charges, though account setup requires a payment method for identity verification and fraud prevention. As of March 2025, eligible users are directed to the trial signup flow from the Firebase console, after which they can link the new Cloud Billing account to a Firebase project by upgrading it to the pay-as-you-go Blaze plan. Charges during the trial are covered by the credits, and users are not billed unless they explicitly convert the billing account to a paid account; any unused credits remain available after upgrading within the trial period. The trial ends when the credits are exhausted or 90 days pass, at which point trial-created resources are stopped unless the account is upgraded, while projects can also be moved back to Firebase’s Spark plan.
