Generated SDKs for Data Connect

Firebase Data Connect, now renamed SQL Connect, automatically generates strongly typed client SDKs for web, Android, iOS, and Flutter from GraphQL schemas, queries, and mutations defined for an application. These generated SDKs allow client apps to call server-deployed operations directly while keeping the operations themselves on the server, requiring coordinated server and client deployments to prevent compatibility issues. Developers configure SDK generation through the Firebase VS Code extension or a connector.yaml file, choosing a target platform, output location, and package name; generated files then expose typed functions matching the defined operations. SDKs can be regenerated automatically during development through the VS Code extension, emulator, or Firebase CLI watch mode, and support asynchronous data updates through platform-specific subscription mechanisms. The generated SDKs are application-specific, unlike the shared core Data Connect SDKs, and documentation provides platform examples and additional resources.
