From prompt to production: Build full-stack apps faster with Google AI Studio and Firebase

Firebase has been integrated into Google AI Studio, allowing its coding agent to identify when an app needs storage or user authentication and, with user approval, automatically create a Firebase project, configure Firestore and Firebase Authentication, generate sign-in and data-sync code, and deploy suggested security rules. The integration is intended to help users build full-stack, connected applications from natural-language prompts, including apps with cloud persistence, real-time cross-device synchronization, offline support, and personalized or collaborative features, while retaining a free-tier option. Google AI Studio is also introducing an upgraded coding agent based partly on Google Antigravity technology that can handle more complex prompts, make multi-step edits, locate web tools, and connect applications to services such as payment processors and Google Maps. As part of a broader consolidation of AI development tools, Google will sunset Firebase Studio on March 22, 2027, though it will provide migration options to Google AI Studio, Antigravity, GitHub, or downloaded code, maintain security and Gemini updates until then, and continue supporting already deployed Firebase apps and core Firebase services.
