Firestore with MongoDB compatibility is now generally available

Firestore with MongoDB compatibility has reached general availability in Firebase through the new Firestore Enterprise edition, following its earlier Google Cloud preview. The edition supports MongoDB APIs, existing MongoDB application code, drivers, and tools, while adding more than 200 query capabilities, BSON data types, advanced index options, improved performance, aggregations, joins, regular-expression searches, and nested array and set operations. Developers can create Enterprise databases, manage indexes, and execute MongoDB Query Language queries through the Firebase Console or Firebase CLI, with selective indexing intended to support cost and performance optimization under a new pricing model. Firestore Standard edition remains available without changes to existing pricing or behavior, while Firebase SDK support for Enterprise features, including realtime synchronization and offline capabilities, is planned for a future release.
