Cloud Functions for Firebase 2nd gen goes GA and adds support for Python

Cloud Functions for Firebase 2nd gen is now generally available for production use, bringing Cloud Run-based concurrency that lets individual function instances handle multiple requests simultaneously, improving traffic-spike handling and reducing cold starts. The release also introduces public-preview Python support alongside Node.js, enabling developers to use libraries such as TensorFlow, NumPy, and pandas while retaining Firebase integrations including triggers, the Emulator Suite, and App Check. New Eventarc-powered triggers support Firebase Alerts and custom events, while established triggers such as HTTPS, callable, and Firestore remain available; Authentication and Analytics event support is still pending, though first- and second-generation functions can run together. Migration can be performed incrementally in the same codebase by updating imports, trigger definitions, configuration, and traffic routing, with Firebase offering tutorials, samples, CLI-generated starter projects, support resources, and feedback channels.
