Add image generation to your apps with Imagen 3

Firebase AI Logic, formerly known as Vertex AI in Firebase, enables developers to integrate Google’s generative AI models into Android, iOS, Flutter, and web applications through serverless client SDKs. The service now supports Imagen 3 and Imagen 3 Fast alongside Gemini, allowing apps to generate up to four images from text prompts while choosing between higher visual quality and lower latency. Developers can configure image resolution, aspect ratio, output format, watermarking, and safety filters, including controls for generated people and restricted content. Setup involves enabling the Firebase service, adding the relevant SDK, selecting an Imagen model, and calling an image-generation function from app code. The public preview does not yet support image editing or upscaling, image-to-image inputs, or predefined visual styles, though additional image-generation features are planned.
