Fingerprint's Device Reputation Network (DRN) is an innovative, developer-focused initiative that leverages global data on Android devices to provide historical insights into user behavior and device characteristics. This self-serve network, accessible through an API, allows developers to incorporate past device activity into fraud prevention strategies by utilizing three primary signals: Regional Activity, Suspect Score, and Timestamps. Regional Activity tracks where devices have been active, offering insights into potentially suspicious travel patterns, while the Suspect Score evaluates a device's suspiciousness based on aggregated data. Timestamps indicate when a device was first and last seen on the network, helping identify unusual access patterns. With significant Android market shares in countries like India, Indonesia, and Brazil, the DRN can greatly enhance fraud detection and prevention efforts for applications in these regions. Access to the DRN is free for all Fingerprint Android SDK users, but usage is rate-limited to prevent abuse, with options for higher limits available upon request.
