This licensing change made the library less accessible to developers, prompting the decision to revert to an MIT license for the latest version to encourage adoption and enhance fraud prevention efforts. While version 5.0 offers improved browser fingerprinting technology, it differs from Fingerprint Pro, which provides additional device intelligence and customer support. The initiative aims to foster collaboration among developers and businesses in the fight against fraud by making advanced browser fingerprinting technology universally available.
